Experience and cases 

In a cooperation with, among others, the municipalities of Copenhagen and Frederiksberg, we have assisted KL - Local Government Denmark with the preparation of a new legal toolbox for responsible artificial intelligence.

The primary aim of the toolbox is to support the municipalities’ compliance with and handling of the most significant legal requirements and risks relating to data protection in the development and use of AI solutions in new AI signature projects. It contains specific templates, checklists and requirements catalogues for handling, for example, impact assessments concerning data protection and privacy by design. The toolbox supports compliance with other legal requirements, including the legal requirements of the Danish Public Administration Act and special legislation. It also offers advice for handling IPR requirements in connection with negotiations with providers of AI solutions.

We have also assisted a number of organisations with implementing projects concerning the use of machine learning for automated decision-making and decision support, risk-based control and combating of fraud as well as the use of speech recognition in the health sector.
