Jacob advises on all aspects of EU and Danish competition and state aid rules as well as on the sector-specific competition regulation in the area of telecommunications, among others. In this connection he has litigated a large number of legal actions of general public importance and complicated legal actions before the Danish Maritime and Commercial High Court, the Danish High Court, the Danish Supreme Court and the Court of Justice of the European Union. Jacob is also very experienced in providing advice on the general prohibitions laid down in the rules of competition and state aid, notification of mergers to the competition authorities and the connection between the competition rules and government regulation, including pricing and cross-subsidisation. Jacob has extensive experience in handling the very complex legal and practical issues that may arise in the cross field between the rules on procurement, competition and state aid, including in relation to drawing up contract documents and the contractual basis. He is also very experienced in contract law and procurement law. Moreover, Jacob is a trained arbitrator and has conducted arbitrations in the above areas.
