Maiken has broad experience in devising and implementing IP strategies, the regulation of digital platforms and use of data from working as an attorney and from previously working as an in-house attorney for a media group.

Maiken provides advice on all elements of IP and digital business. She is especially experienced in ensuring compliance with the regulation of marketing activities on websites and social media as well as compliance with the rules on spam and hidden advertising. Maiken also advises on compliance with the law on consumer agreements and personal data in connection with e-commerce and on digital platforms. Maiken also assists with devising and implementing IP strategies where she has particular experience in securing trademark rights and business secrets. She has broad experience in drafting, negotiating and interpreting contracts on IP rights and disputes about violation of rights. Maiken also advises on the acquisition of software and digital services where she primarily assists with providing advice on securing or assigning rights and on concluding licence agreements. Maiken is also experienced in ensuring that businesses comply with the obligations under data protection law when digitally processing personal data. She advises on personal data law matters for instance in connection with entering into data processing agreements, the use of cookies, drafting consent forms and the use of personal data for marketing purposes. Maiken is an experienced speaker, and she frequently gives presentations on IP and digital business.
