Sofie specialises in litigation primarily for public authorities in the areas of tort and insurance law. Sofie has therefore conducted a large number of cases concerning compensation under the Danish Workers' Compensation Act, the Danish Liability for Damages Act, the Danish Act on Compensation to Victims as well as cases in the area of social security law. Sofie previously specialised in employment and labour law where she litigated and provided advice to public authorities and private employers in a large number of employment and labour law areas, including in particular the law on public servants and anti-discrimination law. In addition, Sofie previously worked extensively with police and criminal law and EU law in the department of the Danish Ministry of Justice, Copenhagen Police and the Danish State Prosecutor for Serious Economic and International Crime (SØIK) where she gained extensive litigation experience in a wide range of crime areas. As part of her master's degree, Sofie also spent a term in the US and worked for six months at the Permanent Mission of Denmark to the UN in New York where she focused on human rights.
