Azad gives frequent lectures and is a popular lecturer in the subject access to documents. He is also the author of the PhD thesis "Delegation af myndighedsudøvelse til private aktører" (in translation: delegation of the exercise of authority to private players) and the author of a number of articles and books on public law. Azad has worked at the Danish Ministry of Justice and he has been an external lecturer in municipal law at the University of Copenhagen where he also taught administrative law.
