Azad Taheri Abkenar

Azad gives frequent lectures and is a popular lecturer in the subject access to documents and other subjects in the areas of administrative law and municipal law. He is also the author of the PhD thesis "Delegation af myndighedsudøvelse til private aktører" (in English: delegation of the exercise of authority to private operators) and the author of a number of articles and books on public law including "Inhabilitet i forvaltningen" (in English: conflict of interest in public administration), "Miljøoplysningsloven med kommentarer" (in English: the annotated Danish Act on Public Access to Environmental Information) and "Kommunalret i grundtræk" (in English: municipal law in outline). Azad has worked at the Danish Ministry of Justice and he has been an external lecturer in municipal law at the University of Copenhagen where he also taught public administrative law. With his combination of theoretical and practical experience, Azad is one of the leading specialists in public administrative law and municipal law in Denmark, and he is known for his ability quickly to narrow the issues of a matter and find sustainable solutions. That is why Azad assists a number of Denmark's authorities, among others, with issues relating to authority and case administration, handling matters relating to access to documents, providing advice on the rules governing municipal government as well as issues relating to local government. Azad also assists the public sector with handling major groups of cases and is experienced in preparing administrative bases and other tools to make administration more efficient. As a consequence, Azad has extensive experience in providing assistance in connection with government orders and other exercise of authority.
