We are pleased to have advised Dagrofa in connection with its agreement to acquire the majority shareholding in ABC Lavpris.

Founded in 1981, ABC Lavpris today operates 16 stores across Jutland and Funen and employs around 1,000 people. Over the years, the business has established a strong regional position built on low prices, local entrepreneurship and close customer relationships.

The transaction marks an important strategic step for Dagrofa into the low-price supermarket segment and supports its ambition of developing ABC Lavpris into Denmark’s next national low-price supermarket chain.

A key feature of the transaction is that the current owners will reinvest and continue as co-owners following completion.

The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals, including approval from the Danish Competition and Consumer Authority.

The core team consisted of Ronnie Kandler, Jakob BernhoftThomas Melchior Fischer, Peter Lyhne Nielsen, Nicolai Christensen and Nikolaj Waage, with valuable support from colleagues across the firm’s specialist areas.
