Advice on utility sector projects
We have been providing advice on energy supply for more than 40 years. We were on the team when the first North Sea oil was to be taken ashore, when the natural gas project was to ensure supply of heating etc. to the Danish population, and when the power sector was to be reformed in the late 1990s. This unique experience enables us to offer advice on complex projects across the utility sector.
We advise on all aspects of the energy supply chain and on all types of energy, including electricity, heating, waste, natural gas, oil, water and wind. Our client portfolio comprises public authorities as well as privately and publicly owned utility companies.
Our services include:
- Clarification of legal basis issues
- Drafting of proposals for new legislation
- Assistance with relieving backlogs (backlog relief projects)
- State aid
- Transactions
- Company law issues
- Procurement law issues, for example in connection with the establishment of off-shore wind farms
- Digitalisation
- Cyber security.
We conduct close to 2,000 lawsuits each year, including in the energy area. Strategic preparation and litigation of complex lawsuits and arbitration proceedings is part of our DNA.
