Kasper Mortensen

Kasper Mortensen advises on construction and real estate, particularly on construction law issues and handling disputes between the parties involved in the construction. Kasper is a very experienced litigator before courts of law and arbitration tribunals, primarily in the areas of construction and real estate, IT systems and other complex acquisitions and in that connection he has been the lead counsel of many large cases and linked cases. Kasper has also conducted a number of cases involving the law of damages and public administration and he was the lead counsel of the cases about the handling of the Christiania area that was settled by the Danish Supreme Court in 2011. In 2003, Kasper completed the mediator programme of the Danish Bar and Law Society and he has acted as a mediator at the Copenhagen City Court for a number of years. Selected cases: - Represented Banedanmark in a matter about the misuse of power; U.2017.75 - Represented the Danish Road Directorate in a case of general public importance about the "guest principle"; U.2015.2854H - Represented a Danish municipality and a Danish ministry in a case about the application of the provisions of the Danish Act on Urban Renewal on properties that the municipality may exercise control over (in Danish: råde-over ejendomme); U.2014.171H - Represented a consulting engineer in arbitration proceedings about a dispute of more than DKK 15 million - Represented an owner in arbitration proceedings about a high-rise building for teaching purposes of a value exceeding DKK 130 million - Represented an owner in a case against constructors and advisors about a claim of a total value of about DKK 200 million; TBB.2014.773 - Represented the Danish Ministry of Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation in a case against the supplier of an IT system of a value of about DKK 140 million; U.2013.2113H - Represented the Danish Building and Property Agency in the case involving Christiania; U.2011.1365H
