Poul Schmith has advised Core Sustainability Capital on its acquisition of 33 % of the shares in Scanmetals A/S, a company specializing in the production of high quality recycled metals from non-ferrous incinerator bottom ash primarily generated by Energy-from-Waste facilities.

Poul Schmith has advised Core Sustainability Capital on its acquisition of 33 % of the shares in Scanmetals A/S, a company specializing in the production of high quality recycled metals from non-ferrous incinerator bottom ash primarily generated by Energy-from-Waste facilities.

Scanmetals A/S is a key contributor to the circular economy and plays a significant role in the green transition by enhancing the recyclability of metals, which matches perfectly with Core Sustainability Capital’s dedicated focus on sustainable investments and resource optimization.

The company operates in Scandinavia, Germany and United Kingdom and has developed a unique dry process to recover the metals, which has allowed them to become the leading metal recycler in Western Europe.

With the acquisition Core Sustainability Capital becomes an owner of Scanmetals A/S alongside Kirk Kapital and a group of the original founders and management of Scanmetals A/S.
