The area of drones is in rapid development, and we have only seen the beginning of the possible applications of drones. We offer legal advice from specialists who understand the legal challenges in this area.

On 1 January 2021, new regulation of the area of drones was implemented in Denmark and the EU.

The common regulation in the EU means new opportunities for the drone industry. Particularly the division of drone operations into three different categories depending on the potential risks of the individual drone operation gives the drone industry new development potential.

The three categories are: 1) UAS operations in the open category, 2) UAS operations in the specific category and 3) UAS operations in the certified category. UAS stands for Unmanned Aircraft System, in other words a drone.
