Poul Schmith advises Geomatikk on the acquisition of LIFA Digital

Poul Schmith has advised the Norwegian company Geomatikk Holding AS on the acquisition of LIFA Digital ApS from LIFA A/S Landinspektører.

Poul Schmith has advised the Norwegian company Geomatikk Holding AS on the acquisition of LIFA Digital ApS from LIFA A/S Landinspektører.

Geomatikk is a software company providing solutions for infrastructure management and protection. Geomatikk is owned by the UK-based private equity fund HgCapital which is primarily focused on acquiring technology companies in Europe and the US.

Prior to the completion of the transaction, LIFA Digital was part of LIFA A/S Landinspektører, and the transaction was completed as a carve-out of the activities from LIFA A/S Landinspektører. LIFA Digital is a leading provider of geodata solutions and provides software products on a licence and subscription basis to municipalities and other public authorities.

By the completion of the acquisition, Geomatikk aims to strengthen its position in the Danish market and expand Geomatikk’s existing range of infrastructure management software.

In connection with the acquisition Poul Schmith has assisted Geomatikk with the negotiation of the transaction documents, the due diligence, the negotiations and the handling of the carve-out process as well as closing the transaction.

Poul Schmith’s M&A team for the transaction primarily consisted of Peter Neve and Peter Lyhne.
