Emil also advises on cyber and data security in contractual connections including in complex supplier and outsourcing matters.

Emil has significant experience in procurement of IT systems and IT services and drafting and negotiating IT contracts under the procurement rules, including both standard tender processes and more complex procurements in critical infrastructure and other regulated sectors. Emil has extensive practical experience in advising on the regulation of the area of cyber security including NIS2 and DORA and in turning regulatory requirements into operational and contractual measures. In this connection, Emil assists with handling the regulatory issues and disputes relating to cyber security and information security. As part of the advice, Emil assists managements and key functions with the strategic planning of legal and regulatory projects including governance, management liability and decision-making processes in the area of cyber and data security. Emil regularly educates managements and boards of directors on regulatory requirements for cyber security including management obligations, responsibility and liability and supervisory obligations under, for instance, the NIS2 and DORA rules with a focus on the practical application in business and organisation. Emil provides advice to a large number of private and public clients across energy, transport, finance, medico, health, industry and manufacture and also assists the Danish State. As a result of his experience in IT procurement and his work in regulated environments, Emil has gained a solid technical and commercial understanding supporting the legal advice. Emil's thesis is that successful IT procurement and regulatory compliance require close interaction between business, technology, management and law. Moreover, Emil is often a speaker at professional conferences and events on cyber and data security and regulation. He is a regular speaker at professional conferences and events in the area, including conferences for managements, boards of directors and specialists with a focus on the interaction between regulation, risk management and cyber security.
