GDPR ComPLAYance

The new game concept comPLAYance combines play and learning. Because we learn more when we are having fun, when we are engaged and interested, and when we participate actively in discussions and use knowledge. The GDPR comPLAYance game focuses on the special data protection challenges that public-sector employees face on a daily basis. The target group is all employees working with personal data, including GDPR ambassadors, DPOs and others dealing with GDPR.

Implement and Poul Schmith have together created a new engaging and entertaining gaming universe for compliance training. We call it comPLAYance.

The GDPR comPLAYance gaming platform is a training tool developed specifically to gain, brush up on or update knowledge of GDPR. The game covers a wide spectrum of practice-oriented GDPR questions and everyday dilemmas such as security, procedures, the data subjects' rights, providers/suppliers, etc.

WHAT IS COMPLAYANCE?

comPLAYance is a training method inspired by gamification principles that turns learning into a game, and vice versa. comPLAYance is a secure and engaging environment conducive for employees to acquire new skills, gain knowledge and practise conduct.

When participants play, a good and competitive atmosphere is created, and participants get much more involved than they would be if they received traditional training. The result is that knowledge is better retained, and that the acquired knowledge becomes more useful in practice.

GDPR comPLAYance is the first of a number of games in development.

HOW IT WORKS

comPLAYance consists of a game board and an app with different types of questions ensuring an existing and varied game. The app makes it easy to keep track of points, get a flow in the game, and ensure that important information about the organisation's knowledge level and any weaknesses is collected.

Two or more teams compete against each other, and a game master oversees the game. The teams compete for most points by giving the right answers to as many questions as possible. The game can be played by between 6-10 persons and up to 150 persons, depending on the need. This means that both big and small organisations can benefit from the game.

As the comPLAYance game also has digital questions as a supplement to the game board, we are also able to include and develop specifically customised scenarios and questions according to the client's needs.
